About the event
Dean Garrity is a Scottish saxophonist who completed a Postgraduate MMus degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS), following a First Class Honours undergraduate degree (BMus). In 2021, he won the woodwind category of the RCS Concerto Competition and received the Governors’ Recital Prize for Chamber Music with his saxophone quartet, The Ventus Quartet. He studied under Josef Pacewicz and received regular tuition from visiting professor Arno Bornkamp, supported by a postgraduate scholarship from RCS, as well as assistance from Help Musicians UK and the Cross Trust.
